Centre Based Learning

Our centre in Hatfield offers both classroom and blended learning in a friendly, disabled compliant environment.  We offer blended learning courses in English, Maths and IT from Entry Level up to Level 2 and classroom workshops in Employability, Customer Service and Business and Administration.

Blended learning is generally a formal education program in which a student learns, at least in part, through delivery of content and instruction via digital and online media.  This allows the learner some element of control over time, place, path, or pace, in which the course is completed.  The online learning is supported by qualified tutors who will help on a one to one basis as and when required, mark assignments set goals and supply feedback for the next visit.   Blended learning allows the students to work at their own pace, which linked with a flexible timetable, permits our learners to fit accredited learning around their busy lives and gain the qualifications to advance them in life and learning.

Centre visits are required to complete blended learning courses, although we will be as flexible as we can for those that are employed.

Classroom Workshops generally run for 5 days a week from 09:30 to 14:30.  These times allow parents to drop and collect their children from school, making the learning available to everyone.

Our workshops are run on a monthly rotation basis and in general are small classes of approximately eight people.

We have excellent feedback from students who have attended these courses.
