Progression 2 is a private training provider based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, where it has gained an excellent reputation for providing high quality educational courses. We formed in 2007 when blended learning was in the early stages, and found that it works extremely well, by allowing students to fit their studies around their busy lives. Our funding learning to people over the age of 19 at the start of the current academic year and specialise in Functional Skills qualifications.
Blended learning means that students undertake learning via computers, where classroom knowledge is provided, and consolidation take place. We then use consolidation exercises to practice and reinforce the learning. These are supported with extra work from you tutor and one to one online sessions for any areas that you have problems with.
Throughout your learner journey with Progression 2, you will be the focus of the programme. You will learn at your own pace, receive support when you need it, and undertake your exams when you are in a position to pass. Our aim is to help you achieve your potential and progress onto further learning or work, by meeting your own personal goals and fulfilling your potential.
Individual learning ensures that each student follows a unique pathway, and allows them to learn at their own pace, repeating or expanding sections of learning as required. It eliminates peer pressure and learning takes place at a pace to suit the individual. If a session is missed for any reason the learning remains in the same place until the student returns to continue with their course which ensures that there are no gaps in the curriculum.
All of our courses lead to nationally recognised qualifications with one of the nationally recognised awarding bodies, depending on the qualification you are taking. Our awarding body for functional skills Edexcel/Pearson, who have been chosen as they offer on demand exams all through the year. This gives our learners weekly exam sessions to help them progress to the next stage of their learning, at work, college or university.
Our learners are very successful and our success and , even during the pandemic year, 2019-2020, are above the national average.
